Painting Competition during International Day for Biological Diversity

The National Museum of Natural History conducted two different programmes to observe the International Day for Biological Diversity. One of the programmes was an "On-the-Spot Painting Competition" for the children of two age-groups, namely, 8-12 years and 13-17 years. Separate topics were given to each age-group on which they were to make the paintings. 780 children participated in both the age-groups during the competition.

Prizes were given to the winners of this competition by Shri Babu Lal Marandi, Hon’ble Minister of State for Environment & Forests. On this occasion, an encouragement prize was also given to Ms. Sapna Goyal who, inspite of her being a partially able child, made the painting by holding the brush in her mouth.
