This is the first issue from our ENVIS. To minimise the cost, a simple format has been used. Once our database is well established, we hope to publish 2-3 Newsletters in a year. Our ENVIS unit, as will be explained in the text, combines a hard core Science topic - that is Biogeochemistry and a Social Science topic such as Environmental Law, Policy etc. At the initial stage, we are focussing more on the Scientific Component. Any related Seminars, Meetings etc. (with the address of the Organisers) may also be brought to our attention so that we can include this information in the ENVIS Newsletter. Constructive Suggestions from readers are most welcome.
